SOL lingerie

Hi ladies! I'm a lurker on this board looking for help.

I was perusing SOL's website because I'm in desperate need of a good fitting and good bras.  Do all of there options run so expensive? If I go in store, are there more affordable options?

Can you recommend similar places? Vicky's Secret just isn't working for me.

Thank you!

Re: SOL lingerie

  • I went there before my wedding, but that was a looong time ago. More recently, I was very happy with a fitting at Nordstrom. Now that I know what size, style, and brands work for me, I have been able to find lower priced options at the Rack (like $100 Chantelle bras for under $30). I've also heard good things about Soma.

  • Check out Pampered Passions in Park Meadows or Nordstrom.  Once you know your size and you fully understand how a bra properly fits, head to Nordstrom Rack and stock up.  Keep in mind that your size may vary very slightly depending on the brand.  Once you get professionally fitted, you'll recognize a well-fitted bra immediately.
  • There is a lady who works at Nordstrom's at Flatirons who calls herself the Bra Whisperer.  I think the ones I ended up with were around $35, so not horrible.  She also brought one in from the clearance rack that worked for me.  I have always had problems finding bras that work for me, even with people trying to help me, so the fact that I ended up with a good fit, it makes a huge difference to me.
  • I love SOL - but yes, my bras average $80....

  • They are expensive.  I buy all my bras there because they have the size I need in stock.  My bras run around 110-140 each.

You might check out Nordstrom, they usually have a pretty decent bra department.

  • I wear the Genie Bra, you can get 2 for $20 at Target

  • Thank you all! I'm going to try Nordstroms first. I think part of my problem is I usually need an unusual size that stores don't typically carry except online. That alone is frustrating because you can't try it on first.

  • Thanks again ladies! I went to Nordstrom and measure at 32dd/32ddd which would explain why every other bra I have is so uncomfortable.  I was buying from the rack in "standard" sizes!

The lady was so helpful. And one of the bras was so comfortable and flattering. She said it was beautiful and I agreed and felt so good!
