My forever long project is finally complete!

Sorry I can't get it all in the frame, it is slightly bigger than a queen sized bed, and to take this I had to stand in the doorway on a tall stool!
Detail shot of quilting:

It definitely isn't technically the best piecing wise, and there are a couple of places I've edited the pattern to make it more consistent with the actual metro map, but I'll take it.

What metro map is this? New York or something? I know it's a take off of that one blog, but I don't think it's the same as the Tokyo map.
Very cool quilt though -- should be fun to sleep under!

It is DC's metro map. I took the concept from Oh Fransson, but wanted mine to be a little bolder/ the lines to be wider.
Here's the map (my quilt is sideways bc I didn't flip the picture before uploading):

Wow! I'm really impressed!! What a great job. That must have taken forever.
I recognized it instantly even though it was sideways. I used to live off the red line before we moved to the west coast.
Ahhh, how funny that it is even titled "Metro Map" on the real map -- I just kept thinking "yes, I know it's a city, but *what* city?"
Again, looks awesome and a great interpretation of the real map!
