Roku

Does anyone have a Roku? What are the pros and cons? I'm considering getting one so we can stream amazon prime videos/movies to our TV rather than having to watch them on a small computer monitor.

Thanks!

Re: Roku

  • We have one and really like it. We use it to stream Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Pandora. The only con I can think of is that you can't stream regular Hulu (Hulu Plus is a separate subscription service) or networks' websites (like PBS...I'm watching Downton Abbey on my laptop instead).

    good to know - thanks!

  • If you are in the market for a new TV, DVD player, or video game console, most of these now offer the same services. Just something to keep in mind in case you were going to buy one anyway, then you don't need a separate Roku to do all that.
