Does anyone have Cricket phone service?

Have you been happy with them? We have had Verizon for the last 12.5 years. We are still on the SAME plan we signed up for which is more than fine for us. I don't think they even have our plan anymore. We pay $73 a month for 300 shared minutes and 1000 phone to phone minutes plus unlimited texting and picture texts. That is for 2 phones.

I have to sign a 2 year contract to get a new phone - we still have Krazr's!  - and I just don't know that I want to be on a contract anymore. We don't have smartphones and we don't really need them.

Cricket doesn't have contracts. But I don't really know anything else about them. Anyone have any experiences? heard stories?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Does anyone have Cricket phone service?

  • I've had Cricket for 7 years and would never consider leaving them.  I have had zero problem with them this entire time.  Their service area has expanded so that it's the same as any of the major carriers and it's just so. much. cheaper. and I love that I don't have to worry about counting minutes/data/texts.  They also have a great selection of phones to choose from.
