I hate shower games.. so does my friend who i am co-hosting a shower with.. my friends mom is insistent on one.. so, does anyone have a decent one? my ideas have been shot down lol..
she is really hoping for more of an "ice breaker" one.. lol
Re: Baby shower games?
I have a word scramble...lee mail me if u want it
Candy in a bottle and guess the amount
Take labels off baby food and guess by looking and smelling
Bingo
not sure how many people are going to be there. but something they did for my wedding shower was that they got a bunch of jokes/quotes about love and marriage. they printed them out, and gave each guest a different one. ( so you could do funny jokes or quotes about being a mom or having a baby).
before she opens that guest's present, the guest has to read their quote/joke out loud.
it was a cute way to keep people entertained during the present openeing.... people were laughing at the funny quotes, and "aww"-ing at the sweet/sentimental ones. not really a game, but more of an ice breaker/ involvment type thing
it works best with a shower thats not TOO huge, though- because it could drag out the present opening :-)
oooh.. i like the candy in the bottle one.. and the word scramble one... can you email me chpmnk1313 @ aol.com
thank you!
that sounds really cutee too
I just went to a shower in December and the dirty diaper game was a hit. We were all sniffing and tasting the stuff it was so funny.
For those who do not know it. One person picks out 8 different candy bars and get 8 newborn diapers. Number the front of each diaper 1-8 write the candy names on a peice of paper and number 1- 8. Take each candy bar and put in each diaper by number. Put answer sheet away. Right before everyone arrives microwave each diaper so candy melts. Make a sheet with names of the candy and number 1 -8. pass the diapers around and give everyone 10 minutes to write down their answers. Have about 10-20 little gifts available for the winners.
