My son received a bunch of small crocheted safari animals that I would like to use to make a mobile for his nursery. They are brightly colored and are about 6" long. I envision them hanging, but attached at the top so they are stationary, on a ring of some sort. I got a wooden ring about 12" in diameter and covered it with grosgrain ribbon but I'm stuck on two things. 1. What should I use to attach the animals to the ring and how should I attach them so they look good and stay put with out sliding around? And 2. How should I hang the mobile from the ceiling so its balanced all around? I know I will use a hook in the ceiling but how do I go from the mobile to hanging from the ceiling evenly? I'm not the craftiest person so any input would be a help. I'm hoping to get it done before my 6 month old goes away for college

hahaha. Thanks again!
