don't eat at Azuma in Sugarland
First, the service was incredibly slow and food was only ok. We were willing to forgive that since we had a Groupon.
Second, they wouldn't let us use our groupon. The waitress was sweet and let us know that it was the computer system that wouldn't let her input the discount. We asked to speak with the manager who said it was our fault.
Third and most importantly - DH and I both have food poisioning now. Ugh.
Re: don't eat at Azuma in Sugarland
Sorry you had such a bad experience. Hope you're both feeling better soon.
That said, we've had several good experiences at the Sugar Land location.
Did they explain why you couldn't use the Groupon? I've learned always to read every single piece of the Groupon because there is very important info in the fine print. Was the Groupon only good for certain days? I've seen several restaurant Groupon's that are only good for certain times Mon-Thur. Did the Groupon expire or did they set restrictions on when you could use it? If not, you should definitely contact Groupon and let them know the restaurant is not accepting the deal. Even if they don't refund your money, they'll know never to do another with this company.
Hope you are feeling better!

I had a bad experience there due to miscommunication. But the Manager went above and beyond to make us happy with over $100 of free sushi!! So I can't complain.
With that said, if people are looking for good sushi in Sugar Land, nothing beats Keepers.
