RV show?

Did anyone go to the RV show this weekend in Davenport?

We went to the home show in Peoria instead (man the civic center was packed! Bradley vs. ISU basketball, Rivermen ice hockey, Cup Stacking championships, and the Fresh Beats Band in addition to the Home Show!).

Dh wanted to go to the QC this weekend, but we've got 3 weekends of stuff in Iowa coming up soon. I have not told him there is an RV show in Peoria next weekend. Can you tell I don't want to go?

I didn't know about it, but DH has been dead set on buying an RV for awhile now. We finally went to Thompson RV a couple times now, and I am surprised to say that I want one now too!  They are awesome!  Plus, with the economy what it is, you can get a lot more for your money these days than you used to.  We were originally looking at a pop-up, but for 2-3 k more you can get quite the set up!  We will probably buy one next year sometime.  We love camping, but looking forward to having an RV that we can just keep packed up at all times- hopefully we can go out on most every weekend someday when the weather gets nicer.  If you do end up going, let me know how it was.

DH wants to get a pop up. He was kinda bummed that a few have come along (used) in the past year or two, but never at the right time financially for us. Maybe someday, but I'm still not sure this purchase is justified just yet!

I am not sure yet either- we don't even have kids yet.  But we did used to go camping almost every weekend- this will be easier with kids someday.  I suggest you go and just look for fun and plan for someday.  At least you will know what is out there and the prices.  I actually ended up having a good time.
