I have a friend who is having a terrible experience with her c section and had to go back in. She's stuck in hospital with an open incision and I feel terrible. I'm going to make her a gift bag. So far I can think of easy entry pjs for the baby to make changing easier, Luna bars (they keep me alive while I'm nursing), comfy pjs, socks and dry shampoo for mom. Any other awesome ideas I'm not thinking of?
Re: gift bag advice
The baby is a week old and she is not staying with her. She's staying with dad who's pretty stressed out. My friend goes home today (fingers crossed!!) and after visiting with her yesterday, my gift is going to be in a grocery bag and to spend Wed with her and help her.
If you're squeamish about cecarean delivery don't read this part.. After her surgery she ended up with a leak inside so hey had to reopen her incision and when they reopen it they cannot close it back up, it has to heal from the inside. She will have a home health aid check on her incision Mon, Wed, Fri, but not to help her with chores. She is handeling it so well, but is understandably a little scared of being home and not being able to get up to get the baby. So I'm bringing my crock pot over and hanging out with her and Amelia's new bff.
