Wow- this board has just like tanked!
In an effort to "rally the troops"- how was your weekend? Do anything fun? I know several peeps saw Wicked this year- was it awesome the second (maybe third) time around?
Spring is just around the corner- any big spring vaca plans like say- ahem- Hawaii?
(Yes I made a lame attempt to call certain people out to ensure they'd respond to this post)
Re: I hear crickets...
We had an awesome weekend!
Wicked was freaking fabulous. Better the second time around.
We also went to the Anthem park and had a picnic yesterday, it was wonderful We've decided that we're going to do a park picnic every weekend for the next few weeks.
I'm going to Maryland in five weeks and VANCOUVER in six. It can't come fast enough! Although I really need to book the Vancouver flight/accommodations. Eeep.
Our weekend was pretty good. Low key, but that is how I like it. After all, we've spent all our money on this HAWAII trip (nice calling me out, Jenn).
We are upgrading my e-ring/wedding band so we were out shopping for it. I found what I LOVE and it was more then I wanted to spend so I have to bring in my current set and see what they will give us for it and decide if I want to spend that or not. Carl said he would spend it with out the trade in, but I dunno.. we'll see.
Carl's Aunt and her friend are sort of in town (they were here for a week, and left for Vegas for a few days, and making a huge road trip out of it before they come back) so we have that going on as well. They leave at the end of March.
Our Hawaii trip is in May. We are going for 9 nights, 10 days. We rented an AMAZING house off of VRBO. It's right on the beach and I am in love. We are staying on Oahu. We are also staying at Aulani for 2 nights and that is the most exciting part. My MIL booked a character breakfast for us, so we are hoping Will wont sleep through this one like he did for his birthday breakfast when he was 1 haha.
Then in July, I'm going back east for a month. So excited! My BFF and his boyfriend will legally be getting married so long as things stay on course in NH. I'm starting school in August and then I have to fly back east in Sept for my brothers wedding. Any one want to go with me? haha.. I am trying to talk Shannon into going but if she cant, any one else can haha!!
Thats all for us right now. Will is all set to start Pre-K in August.. Ugh! Where is the time going. I feel like he is getting to old, to quickly..
We had a pretty chill weekend. E's been sick so Friday night we just snuggled watching Disney movies, reading stories, and playing blocks - though this was mainly me stacking and her pushing them over.
We didn't leave the house on Saturday (wanting to make sure E was better) but my parents stopped by. Sunday we ventured out to The Great Fair in Fountain Hills (our first time). It was nice and E had a blast but I'm majorly burnt!
We have E's birthday Disney trip next month, and Aluni in October! (Jess you'll have to give me pointers!) but other then that we're just looking forward to cold and flu season being over!!
That's awesome Jess! Where are you going back to school and what for???
I LOVE Vancouver!!! So jealous! Awe and Aria gets to use her passport!!!! I can't wait to hear all about your travels (baring you book airfare/hotel
Thanks Jenn! I am just going back for Medical Billing and Coding and after that I'd like to get into medical office management. I've looked at a few different programs and now it's coming down to cost. I have a few months to make a decision on which school and get registered. I want to have it done before I go back east so I am not rushing around when I get back.
Our weekend was good. Busy but good. We are getting ready to do quite a few minor renovations to our house so we've had contractors in and out giving us estimates. It's exciting to imagine the changes we're getting ready to make!
I also spent some time with my Mom which was nice. My Dad has been dead for almost a year now and for the entire time I have dreaded spending time with her. I know that sounds horrible but she has a serious problem with alcohol and really went off the deep end after he died. She is finally attending AA regularly and seems so much "clearer" if that makes sense. It was the first time I've been with her that she didn't repeat herself a hundred times and actually heard what I was saying to her. It made me so happy because I have really missed her so much this last year.
Anyway - no major vacation plans this year. We are headed to Vegas for a few days next month and I am going to SoCal with a good friend in May. Also, we are headed to Greer in early June to spread my Dad's ashes. We'll see what else we decide to do closer to the end of the summer.
My weekend was wonderful...busy but wonderful. Saturday I got my hair done and then went over to a friend's house for dinner. Sunday I went to the Art Festival in FH and also got burned.
No vacation plans this year. We will be headed back to Bakersfield (oh joy!) for Braeden's finalization sometime in the next 6 months. I may try to tack on something fun to that trip since we will be just north of LA.
DH and I spent the weekend in Disneyland! We had so much fun! The weather was gorgeous, but the parks were super crowded! 70 minute wait for Toy Story Mania? EEEK! We did see the World of Color show, which was so good!
As for summer vacations, we just found out that DH's grandma is paying for the whole family to go on an Alaskan cruise in July! We are so excited! We may take another trip, but none planned at the moment.
We had a pretty relaxing weekend, but we just came home from a trip, so we were both pretty wore out. We were in Vegas for a week, and then drove out to LA for a few days. We did some studio tours, got to go on Ellen's stage set, and stand on her star mark, and dance down the audience isle she dances down. We also got to go on the set of the Mentalist, and then we actually saw Simon Baker afterwards. It was a blast!
Future plans, DH has to go back to Israel for 3 months, so I am going to try to get over there for at least 3 or 4 weeks of it. We won't be together for our first anniversary. =(
We are planning a cruise next spring though!
Your Hawaii trip sounds amazing, I'm jealous! What r u going to school for??
Guess I should've kept reading Jess. Good for you! I hope you find a school that fits for you soon. That's a tough decision.
Nothing too exciting going on here, except that we've been getting ready for this lil girl. I've also been busy w/school & can't wait for my break coming up in May. We're doing a water-wine tour in Sedona the last wkend of March (no, I won't be drinking wine), then I'm flying home in April for baby showers. I'm also planning on going to the Greer Lodge for a wkend sometime bf June, but not sure when. I'd also love to go to San Diego or Palm Springs bf her arrival, but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen. There's just not enough time, esp. when u have to work wkends.
I visit this board everyday yet never seem to have anything interesting to post. I'll try to change that!
Our weekend was alright. I had a baby shower Saturday and then went to the mall and got some new jeans and tried out the iMacs in the Apple store...We are looking to purchase a desktop soon! Yee! Saturday night we went to dinner with family at Dillon's at the Wildlife World Zoo. It was good but BUSY and the restaurant is rather small. Then after we had a game night at our house. Sunday was spent laying around and organizing and cleaning our master bath, which was much needed!
No actual vacations planned this year, little guy is going to be too young to really make it enjoyable for anyone I think. But we will be going to MA in June for my brother's high school graduation and then again for Christmas!
This was my last weekend of leave! We had a wonderful weekend. Yummy grilled salmon dinner on Friday, picnic at the park on Saturday, shopping and Oscars on Sunday. I go back to work on Wednesday and can't wait!
I'm so excited to go! Since DH has a work conference for part of the time we're there, it's just going to be Aria and I exploring during the day. Usually that would make me nervous, but I'm strangely super excited.
Any recommendations for things to do? I've never been before
This weekend was busy. I had a ton of work to do. I did a bit Friday night and then a few hours Saturday morning and a couple more Sunday morning before Caitlin woke up for the day. I'm exhausted right now because of it!
But I did get to spend all of her awake time with her which is the best after a week of work. DH and I also enjoyed our time together since he works nights during the week.
I can't wait for Spring Break! 9 days away! My class this year is giving me a run for my money. It's also been a big adjustment being a working mom.
We will be moving over spring break, Caitlin is getting baptized, and I'm throwing one of my best friends a baby shower. It will be crazy busy, but also tons of fun. Thank goodness my school's spring break is 2 weeks long!
My weekend was pretty blah. Lucy and I stayed at my parents. Did some shopping, went to the FH fair on Saturday and Sunday, pretty much bummed around all weekend long... Lu had her first legit fever, so that kinda sucked.
Lu's birthday party is in less than three weeks - WHAT?! I'm trying to keep it low-key so I don't drive myself crazy with party prep. Other than that we'll be preparing for Baby #2. I guess we need a hobby, eh?
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
