i plan to take the kids to the megillah reading and Ava can choose among all her ballet costumes and regular princess dress up stuff for her costume. But the only costume I have that could fit Sam is a pumpkin, and it feel inappropriate - lol!
Would you get a 16 mos old a costume too (something cheap) or don't worry about hers? I guess I can check ebay - not sure what the norm is. We started taking Ava when she was 2 and dressed her as Esther. But Sam is way smaller and I've got no dress up stuff for her.
Re: Jewish moms
I don't think the pumpkin is inappropriate. It's not like coming as a nun or something. It's a food.
E is wearing is Muno costume from Halloween.
see, i think the witch in halloween colors and the pumpkins just scream halloween. anything else is fine by me!
i think i'm going to locate Ava's bee or butterfly wings and call it a day. Ava will be more into it than Sam anyway, but Ava will let me now it's not fair if Sam doesn't have a costume. The kid thinks everything needs to be equal for her sister - cute and sweet but a pain in my a$$
LOL. You have the female versions of my kids.
I agree with this. But, I wouldn't go buy something special. Like you said, find some wings for her, throw on a tutu, and call it a day!
