Are there any runners on this board?

Hey guys, I am not a regular poster here, I was around a long time ago so I know some of you guys. I am a new runner, I am running my first half marathon in March. I do two short 35 - 45 minute runs during the week and I am kind of bored with my path. I am in the frisco area and was wondering if anyone knew of any running trails they would recommend? I figured if I got any response I would get it here, since you guys seem to have a lot more traffic than the bump.  Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I live in Dallas, so I'm no help with running trails in Frisco.  However, I ran the Chicago marathon a few years back and for me, I was always willing to drive a while to get to an interesting place to run during my long runs. 

It looks like you have a little one, so that may be more difficult, but it made a huge difference for me.  Maybe one of the area lakes (Grapevine, Lewisville,  Ray Roberts) has some running trails that you could try?  You may look at a local running store (Lukes or Run On) for some other local running paths.

For me, I will drive the distance to White Rock Lake, so that I have an interesting, open path to run.

I am trying to get into running and also live in the frisco Frisco. I typically just run in my neighborhood, so I'm not really any help! :-/. Which side of Frisco do you live in?  I think there are some trails on the other side of the tollway from where I live, but I'm not sure exactly where they are!

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. Sorry for the delay, I am a teacher and can only get on the nest during breaks. During the week I have to stay close to home, because of my toddler, but I will look into the places suggested for my long runs on the weekends. I live in Frisco on the east side of the tollway, not too far from Centennial Medical Center. I am running in my neighborhood now.

That's the side I'm on too. I know there's a couple of parks (kind of parks...they also have like baseball fields and stuff) around. Sorry, I'm not much help!  :-)

My current path is around one of the baseball fields. I just get bored looking at the same thing over and over. Luckily those Glee Kids on Pandora pass the time for me. It sounds like we are pretty close I may see you on one of my runs sometime.

Yea I live close to el dorado and Preston :-). I am trying to get ready for the warrior dash in April, so I really need to start running more!  I've been slacking!
