I know that in the Last Supper was a Seder, etc, but I'm talking in the current day...
Do they always overlap? Instead of doing a Seder on the first night, my in-laws always try to schedule it the first Saturday during Passover so we can all get together. But it seems like that is almost always the Sunday before Easter.
This year I asked MH if we can come home after (really late) but offered to go up there a day before so they still get a lot of time with the kids and I'll still get Easter morning. Hoping that is ok. If not I guess we'll hide eggs, etc at their house.
I just hate balancing the two holidays. So do they always overlap or does it just seem that way?

We live 3 hours away from them. My BIL lives about 3.5 - 4 hours away. Since we all work they do Saturday so that everyone can come even if it isn't a traditional day for a seder. (This year it happens to be one of the traditional days).
Actually my BIL lives near us so last year we offered our house and my ILs came here. MIL still cooked, etc because she enjoys that. It was really nice and worked out well, but this year Passover falls the week before the tax deadline so my FIL that works as a tax preparer can't have enough time off to come out our way.
I am so not one of those "but it's my holiday" girls so if they don't always overlap and they don't want to start dinner early enough for us to come home that night, I'll step down and give them this year. I just don't want to always lose my traditions so that's why I asked.
