Tamarjin Aruba - reviews?

Has anyone been to the all-inclusive Tamarjin in Aruba?

I've been to Aruba several times - never done All-inclusive (actually, I wouldn't normally do all inclusive there as the restaurants are great - BUT this was a really good deal and going with a group of friends that picked the place)

Has anyone been? Reviews?

Re: Tamarjin Aruba - reviews?

  • We stayed at the RIU which was very decadent. The Tamarijin is closer to the downtown, is a low rise hotel and friend's that stayed there said the food wasn't that good, the bars closed early, and little things like the minifridge was broken, things werent restocked etc. I think you get what you pay for. But if its friend's and you can't beat Arubas water/beach does the hotel matter that much?
  • Thanks. We're spoiled b/c we have stayed only at nicer timeshares when we went and I definitely think this will be a lower scale trip ... but like you said, does the hotel even matter that much? I just hope it's clean!
  • Look at tripadvisor too, they were right on about the RIU. but again, friend's, beach, and cocktails sounds fun even if the place isn't 5 star.
  • My family and i stayed at the Divi, its sister resort a few years ago.  The Divi is right next door and as a Divi guest you could use the Tamarjin facilities and restaurants but dont think you could do it the other way around.  I've been to 4 or 5 AIs and the Divi has been my favorite.  The food was pretty good, i don't think AIs are known for stellar food.  My mom stayed at the Tamarjin and I cant recall any complaints that she had.  There is a casino right down the road from the hotels if you are looking for something in walking distance to do off property.

If you're looking for something fun to do off property at night as a group, try the kukoo kunuku bus dinner/bar hopping tour. We had a great time and i know a lot of other people that also enjoyed it. Have fun!
