Robin- let me know if this is not ok and I'll take it down.
Introducing my sweet foster-dog Duchess!
If you're interested or if you know someone who might be, page me and fill out an adoption application.
Duchess is a small 8 year old spayed female Brittany that was
surrendered to rescue by an elderly owner who could not
take care of her. She is super sweet, very affectionate with people.
She just wants to be with you. She'd be a perfect companion for an
adult or
couple, or a family with older kids. She wants to hang around with you
all the time and she will nudge you for some affection. She is calm
and relaxed in the house and she is crate trained and house trained. She loves going for walks. She has shown no destructive behaviors, and doesn't get on the furniture.
She gets along with our young dog, but would prefer a home as an only dog or with a sedate companion dog. She doesn't like it when other dogs get too much in her personal space or when our dog steps on her (growled and snapped at him).
She is fearful of loud noises and thunderstorms, and has mild cataracts and maybe a touch of arthritis. We're working on slimming her down- she has some pounds to lose. We're told she didn't get along with cats, but I haven't had a chance to test her around a cat yet.
