so i took the boys to the vet and dapper has whip worms ;;sad face;;. both dapper and cocoa are being treated and the vet said magic should be fine. so meds now and again in three weeks then a poop recheck. they also got some ear drops since they have the dachshund floppy ears. ;;sorry for grammer im on my phone;;
Re: Blood in poop UPDATE
Just to be safe, when you take their poo in for the recheck - I would take Magic's. Just in case (unless it is uber expensive!).
We my mom adopted a new kitten, the kitten ended up having worms! The vet checked the other cat, just to be safe, at the recheck since it cat take a week or so for them to show up in the stool. (I know my example is cats, you have dogs, but you get the point!)
Just my opinion!
Glad every thing has been figured out and it's "only" worms, could have been so many other worse things!
I'm sorry Dapper has worms, but I'm glad they at least know what it is and can treat it. You'll have to let us know what happens at the three week check.
GL for a speedy recovery!
