A patient just complained to me that my perfume is terrible and giving her asthma.
I am not wearing any perfume! I think it is her because I smell it too!
ETA: what scents do you hate?
Re: S/O scent clicky...
An old coworker insisted I had terrible perfume. She and I were the only women in the office. After about a week, I swore I could only smell it when she was around.
Low and behold, she sheepishly apologized a week or so later - it was her new shampoo. And apparently she was only smelling it on days she wore her hair down or after she went to the gym (she'd shower off but not wash her hair.)
I hate people that get on public transit smelling like a wh0re house.
lol that's too bad. My mom is pretty sensitive to smells and I never grew up with perfume/cologne, but I like it. I would like to get in the habit of putting a little on when I go out, but I always forget. I think it's ok as long as it isn't too strong - if your perfume is still in the elevator and you aren't in it, you have too much on! *hint hint random apartment person where we live*
I really hate how cigars smell, and weed for that matter. I'd rather smell cigarettes than either of them - something about it just really doesn't agree with me.

Ok, I know this is really terrible, but I have a positive reaction to the smell of some cigarettes I have never and will never smoke, but my grandma used to and I also associate it with Europe (which I love, although now it's better that it isn't so smokey) which somehow = sentimental happiness. I don't enjoy smelling it and don't do it on purpose, but a whiff has a weird effect of happy feelings. lol

I can understand that, I think it's the chemical smell that cigarettes give off when burnt that offends my senses. But I don't mind the smell of marijuana, and I think that's because it's more organic and not the chemical type of smell from cigarettes.

I tend to despise all mens cologne, especially Axe. I really don't like when you can smell a man from more then a foot away. I like that my man smells clean, like shampoo and soap, that's what I like. I feel like men who wear cologne are trying to hard, but that's just my opinion.
I don't hate all cigarette smells, but most.
Oh I really really don't like the smell of ethnic food. Like a house you know only ever cooks Indian food, you know what I mean?
And incense, I don't like the smell of hippie incense.
Hmm I guess I don't like a lot of smells....
This. A lot. Ugh, I have a smoker friend who does this. She goes outside, and then walks in and sprays her perfume ALL OVER...she has a routine that includes spraying her hair a bunch, then all over her body. And her perfume is this super fruity gross stuff. Mix that with Malboros, and
Other than that, the only smell that super offends me is when people have really bad teeth, which I feel super guilty about because I have a couple customers who can't afford dental work, and they're super self conscious about their mouths, but I have to like hold my breath when I'm helping them because the smell makes me gag really badly. Oh, and one of my in-law's cars. That's a trash heap of grossness to levels I didn't know existed before that damn car lol.
LOL

I'm allergic to SO many fragrances...floral tends to be the worst for me, same as their real-life counterparts. My allergic reaction is either instant headache, severe itching, or drugged-pass out sleeping. Freesia, hyacinth, lilies are my enemies! I also can't STAND that "baby powder" or "fresh" scent, it makes me ill. Seafood/seaside (when it's really briney/kelpy) can make me queasy because my brain associates it with what happens when I eat seafood. Smell like any other food though, that works for me!
omg.. that is horrible.
i hate musky perfumes.. barfbags.. i also hate farts.
funny thing about farts. recently at my 2nd job i overheard a little girl, 11yo prob tell her friend that she doesn't mind her friend's farts because they didn't smell.
LOL!
