Cat urine consists of mainly three parts. Urea; makes the urine sticky and allows the other two parts to stick around. I found straight cheap vodka poured on there worked better than NM! Our cat peed on carpet and clothes a few times. Whichever you use, make sure you SOAK the carpet if that's what they peed on. It needs to go all the way down!
