If you had to be a member of a family on a TV show, which family would it be and why?
Re: QOTD: Tuesday
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
"What is a week-end?"
i would totally be a Huxtable!
our family values are similar; they aren't a perfect family, but they do work out their problems in a healthy, nurturing way; education is not a privilege but an expectation; wonderful, loving, respectful relationship between the parents; two sets of grandparents. they are just missing a dog. everything i want my family to be.
I was thinking Parenthood too, but then I decided that all that bickering and talking over each other would make me mental -- though I would love to live in that house that the parents live in!
I wouldn't mind being Addison's sister on Private Practice. I'd move into her kick ass beach house and hang out with a bunch of hottie doctors all day long. She's a little neurotic, but probably no more so than I am, or my current sister, so I think I'd fit in beautifully.
I'll go with Full House as well. I loved that show. Their house is gorgeous, the weather always looks nice, and it would be fun to see what life is like having siblings (I'm an only child).
Planning Bio
Not just to harp on my "thing," but the first answer that popped into my head was The Muppet Show. They're like a family.
They're pretty dysfunctional, yes, but it's clear they love and adore each other and will work through thick and thin together. They're all working together with a passion for sharing their talent with the world. They're not afraid to be silly or bold or LOUD. And though there's a lot of chaos, it would be worth it for the love of what they're doing and for all the variety and challenge it offers them. (And it wouldn't hurt that I'd get to meet celebrities like oh, say, Jon Hamm *drool*)
The first thing that popped in my head was the Taylors from Friday Night Lights because I love them so much as parents. This would mean I'd have to be Julie Taylor's sister though which I am less crazy about.
The Bluths from Arrested Development would always be interesting/crazy.
No fair! I want to be the missing Gilmore sister!
I don't watch a lot of shows where the family is all hunky dory, so I'm otherwise drawing a blank.
I can't think of one right now. What family has a cool house? Maybe the Cohens on the OC??
