Okay, so I complained last week (?) about Penny peeing. Well, it only happened that one time, so I was like, "Okay, maybe something was stressing her out, it happens, whatever".
Then I was bragging about her to the humane society where we adopted her about how much better she was doing, which is true. She was a hot mess when we adopted her. Compared to that, she is better.
She must have somehow sensed that I was talking about her, because she peed on everything yesterday. A sock on the floor (Mocha had "killed" it and brought it to me), MY pillow. The blanket on the bed--which DH was laying under while she peed on it. WTMF, cat. I can't take it anymore.
She has interstitial cystitis, so she has a medication plan, but for whatever reason it isn't working anymore. So we're going back to the vet tomorrow, but we're running out of options. If the treatment for cystitis really isn't working anymore, I don't know what to do, short of making her live in a kennel most of the day, which freaking blows.
I shut her in the bathroom for now because I'm trying to study and I couldn't keep following her around the house to make sure she didn't pee on anything.
Ugh.

Re: oh. my. God.
Aww, poor baby! Sending positive, wellness vibes her way.
What meds is she on? Are you supplementing with Cosequin?
I feel your pain on this one...you know I do! We have had to do two rounds of pain meds/sedative for Max since his diagnosis in July. Usually he does fine med-free after 3 days of Tramadol/Ace, for several months. He gets two capsules of Cosequin daily, and we think it's helping.
I'm so sorry

Ugh, I feel your pain. I just typed out a post before reading this one. Lily also peed on my pillow. Ew.
I hope you can find something that helps

I'm sorry! I'm sending t&ps.
We do a few days of Tramadol for flare ups, she's always on fluoxetine 1mg/day. I have a feeling the vet is going to suggest upping the fluoxetine, but I'm just not sure how much good that's going to do, other than sedating her and making her basically a lump. I don't want her unhappy, but I don't want her so medicated that she has no idea what the hell is going on, either.
We haven't tried Cosequin--is that something I ask the vet about, or is it a supplement I can pick up at our local pet store?

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DNo, his reaction was pretty funny. She was on his stomach and he was singing to her (he's a goober). He basically just sings what she's doing. Like "Penny is such a good kitty--Penny is on my stomach..." he would die if he knew I told you that. lol
Anyway, so he's singing and then all of a sudden I hear, "NOOOOOOOOOO" and Penny scurries out of the room. Then DH comes out, carrying the blanket and sings, "Penny just peed on my blanket.....and a little got on me....."
It's either laugh or cry at this point, so yeah.

Hilarious! I definitely LOL'ed. I still LOL if I re-read it.
We also sing to Gloria and dance with her, too.
It was, they (she and Lucky) get 1 mL/day, but without looking at the bottle I don't remember how many mg are in a mL.
I am brain dead today--nursing final in three hours. ugh. lol
