I left last week on a work trip and the peeing got so much worse. She has now also peed on my pillow and thankfully on a pair of my husband's ancient shorts that I've been wanting to throw out anyway. ;-) But all of this has now relegated her to being in the "cat room" all by herself. So far so good since she only peed in the box last night, but the guilt is killing me. I dreamed about her all alone all night long!
AND to top it all off... I leave for Europe again tomorrow. I hate stressing her out more The Feliway spray should arrive any day and I'm hoping that helps since I can concentrate it more. (The diffuser just wasn't cutting it).
Poor Lily!!
Re: Lily is in solitary confinement
I'm sorry! But it sounds like this is just what she needs right now if she's that stressed.
(((hugs))) to you and **blinks** to Lily!
Poor Kitty.
Have you figured out why she's peeing? Just stress? I think you posted about this but I can't remember today...
Yes, pretty sure it's stress. Her bladder was empty when we went to the vet so they couldn't extract any urine, but the vet and I both think it is likely behavioral. We moved to a new house in July, she lost her brother in November (she had lived her whole 11 years with him), I brought two new cats home in January, and she's also never been a fan of my LO. Poor stressed out Lily!
Lily and Penny need to have a conversation about how to NOT stress their momma's out.
Actually, Penny would probably just teach Lily all her favorite places to pee, so that wouldn't be helpful at all.
Hope you can get the peeing to stop. Lord help us all.
Snow!
