Since I'm pg and therefore my options are limited for my 30th, DH and I are going to do a last weekend getaway for my birthday in May.
What's your favorite Texas resort and why?
Re: Favorite Texas resort?
Love, love, love Horseshoe Bay Resort near Marble Falls, TX. It has great grounds, pools, it's by the lake.
Like 10 mins from Marble Falls where they have cute boutiques, yummy restaurants. It's a nice, quiet town.
We did a girls weekend out there in July. Went to a spa called Sana Vida. Wonderful massage.
H and I will be going there this Spring/Summer for a mini getaway as well.
Our absolute fav is Lakeway Resort and Spa on Lake Travis, near Austin. Beautiful place overlooking the lake with a great pool area and amazing spa. Nearby the Hill Country Galleria with alot of great shops and wonderful restaurants. We LOVE it out there and have been going for many years.
Another favorite is Barton Creek Resort. Not far from Lakeway, it offers alot of the same amenities with beautiful views of the hill country.
Both are awesome--we're trying to pick one for a trip this summer.
Lots of people rave about IAOC.
We like Barton Creek, as pps suggested. We love Austin and BC is a great place to be able to do Austin-ish things and still be a bit remote, too. Lakeway would fall into this category too though you have lake access.
Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop is neat, though it's very family friendly if you're looking for an adult getaway. It's close enough to Austin to head in for a day, or to San Marcos for outlet shopping.
There's the Hill Country Resorts - Hill Country Hyatt, Westin La Cantera and the new JW Marriott Hill Country that's supposed to be awesome.
There's also Lake Austin Spa if you're needing to splurge.
So Tasty, So Yummy
DH loves this resort!
Learning to live gluten-free and doing really good at it!
We've been to Hyatt Lost Pines and I'm going in April with my mom and sisters, so I'm going to skip it for this trip.
I think we're going to end up going to either La Cantera or the Hill Country Marriott. We haven't been to San Antonio in years so that should be fun, plus it should be warm enough that I can float around in the pool Looks like either have enough options if we feel like being lazy, too.
Thanks for the ideas!
