~Aruba-anyone ever do non all inclusive resort?~
Anyone ever go to Aruba and not do an all inclusive? For what we want to spend, our travel agency contact is sending me some resorts that are not all inclusive, they have kitchenettes.
We've never gone to a non-all inclusive resort on vacation...so I am a little weirded out by the thought. And if we do want the option of all inclusive, it would could an additonal 170-200 a day. Makes me think that we dont even drink that much (ehhh maybe or eat that much to justify that.
Thoughts?
Thanks! We are so close. ha.
Re: ~Aruba-anyone ever do non all inclusive resort?~
i have never done an all inclusive in aruba...there are sooooooo many good resturants, that you want to be able to go out.
if you have a kitchenette, you can have groceries and liquor delivered, have breakfast and lunch at your room, and make your own drinks and then go out for dinner.
great. thank you for the info!
did you rent a car while there? or did you just do the taxi thing? did you bring some groceries from home?
yes we have rented a car, but we have also done the taxi thing...it depended on the time...i don't think you can bring much into aruba...its easier just to buy everything there...they have a fully stocked grocery pretty close to the hotels, so you can go to the hotel, check in, hit up the grocery store and then relax! or, if you'd like to pay a little extra...you can place your order online and it will be delivered to your hotel...
Every time I have gone to Aruba, I've done non-all-inclusive.The restaurants are so good - you'll want to explore around.
However.... we have a group of friends going in June and they ARE doing an all-inclusive so we're doing it too. The deal is too good to pass up and flights are really cheap for Aruba right now.Plus, we've been there a bunch of times and have eaten at most of the restaurants (which are all fabulous) We will probably venture out of the resort a night or two to go to our favorites, regardless.
Enjoy. Aruba is awesome.
We didn't do an all inclusive when we went, because we wanted to take advantage of all the great restaurants on the island. My sister, on the other hand, went last year with her now ex-boyfriend and they did all inclusive, and she regretted it. They got bored enough with the food at the resort that they ended up going out to restaurants anyway.
Also, we rented a jeep for a day to drive around and sightsee around the island, but to get to restaurants, we just took cabs.
cool. thanks ladies for all of your input!
Looks like Aruba it is!
