is pioneer woman's show any good?
I'm prob way behind the 8 ball on this but haven't watched food network in forev b/c I got out of cooking for 2 1/2 yrs and was at the gym the other day & someone had her on, I didn't even know she had a show although I used to visit her blog relatively regularly in the past...
thoughts?
Re: is pioneer woman's show any good?
Yeah, her show is fairly new on the FN.
At first, I wasn't too fond of her show but it has grown on me. I am not crazy that she has to take pictures of everything but that is what she does on her blog already. I don't plan my day around watching her show, but if it happens to be on. I will watch!
I actually caught it this weekend, although I ended up only watching maybe 3/4 of it. It wasn't bad. I was doing something else (folding laundry, I think), so it didn't have my undivided attention, but she seemed less awkward then in the commercials I'd seen for the first season.
She also posted the links to the recipes she made in that show on her blog that morning so I knew what she was making and could quickly get the recipes. That was nice.
I never get to watch TV so I won't be a regular watcher but it wasn't bad.
It's definitely better now then it was.
The last episode I saw showed about 20 minutes worth of clips of her husband and children going to different Western/Cowboy like stores. It was a little overkill, IMO.
Ha! DH and I saw that (it's the only episode we've seen), and were puzzled, wondering what the heck that had to do with anything.
I realize that she said that them being out shopping gave her time to put together her dishes for the pot luck, but I really don't care about whether her kid gets (a jacket just like Dad's), or whether his brother gets boots with kind of a round toe, or whether or not she has to do laundry....isn't it supposed to be about the food.
I felt like it was a waste of time. If I was interested in what she was making, I would just look it up online and not bother with the show.
