Anyone post runner's knee - come in

I'm trying to figure out if this business is normal.

I'm finishing up my 8th week of PT and have been cleared to run again.  I've been out 3 times so far, with this morning being the most recent.  I'm just doing Couch to 5K all over again (not trying for a half until at least next spring), so it's not like I'm running miles all of a sudden.

My knee doesn't hurt anymore when I run on it, but it almost... itches?  It doesn't feel tight, but stronger than it used to, which I guess is a good thing and means the PT did its job.

Has anyone else gotten back in to running post PT for runner's knee?  Did you feel anything strange?

Re: Anyone post runner's knee - come in

  • paranoia :)

PT did nothing for my runner's knee. I changed my shoes and got custom insoles and my knee pain was gone...... So now I'm paranoid about wearing out shoes, shoe companies changing designs and just gait change.

It's great your legs feel stronger, huge plus.

I still do half my PT excercises every morning - again out of paranoia :)

But I've never had an itchy knee......... (other than dry winter knees with no lotion!)
