Wonder if there are any other bunny lovers online? We have a little four month old dutch, and we're not really satisfied with the metal hutch we currently have for her. I've been looking at some wooden hutches online where she'd have some rest places for her poor little paws. Typically I know the wooden ones are supposed to be used for outdoor rabbits. But this is for indoor use.
Any brands you trust or recommend? We want her to be comfortable especially on the days where we work late (the only time of day she likes to be out). We are home early the mornings some time, but she won't come out to move around. We don't want her to be cramped...
Re: Any recommended indoor rabbit hutches?
We have THIS cage for our rabbit, Benny. He's a dwarf lop. It's not a wooden hutch, but we love it. I call it his condo!
It has a plastic bottom, and we use a soft fluffy bedding so it's soft on his toes. The ledges provide some exercise/stretching (although they might be too high until she grows). There a usually different sizes (not sure if there is a larger version of this one in this brand) but it's a great size for Benny!
We build a cage for our bunny using these and zip ties: http://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-4-Storage-Cubes-White/dp/B000LRGV3W/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1330530399&sr=8-6
We got carpet samples and put them on the levels so he could rest there comfortably. We also put carpet underneath so the cage wasn't on our hardwood floors.
