Pedialyte Dosing for under 12 Months

Ella had her 9th month appointment today. Since she has some congestion, her doctor recommended no formula for a few days and to instead use Pedialyte. Well, there isn't dosing information on the product for those under 12 months. Any suggestions?

Re: Pedialyte Dosing for under 12 Months

  • She does still eat foods pretty well if that matters in your suggestions.

    Thanks!

  • Pedialyte or pediasure?

Surely they meant pediasure that is more milky and vitamin enhanced as opposed to the pedialyte that is for replacing electrolytes.  right? Although I guess that wouldn't hold any benefit against formula so maybe pedialyte is correct.

I'd go ounce for ounce with the pediasure.

If it's pedialyte then I'd give whatever she regularly takes in a sippy with her food, and I'd feed her more food than usual with a good amount of protein.

  • Pedialyte is what he said. She's had more icky poopy diapers than normal too so maybe that's why.

    Thanks!
