Re: Damn Amazon got me...caved a bought prime membership
I just realized this yesterday! I had signed MH up for amazon mom after my 12 months of prime ran out and now i've earned 12 months on his and i keep ordering everything on his acct to get the prime but now i dont have to! I hope they keep the Mom program open for new people for awhile. i saw they shut it down pretty quickly again yesterday but maybe it was just a glitch. i'm pretty bitter the deals arent AS good as they were too, i got SO many people to join and shop there for everything. but, i love the prime benefits too, so when the time comes, i'll probably pay it too.
My BFF and I did this and we split the annual cost
Gail can your husband get Kindle books from the free lending library on his device? I was unclear if my husband could get the same borrowing benefits that I could from being a Prime member, since it said it was only available to the membership holder...but now I see below nesties have shared their Prime memberships with other people too.
We also got spoiled by free 2 day shipping, without it, the 1 week wait was too long.
no regrets though, I shop often at amazon (moms club) for diapers, food, wipes etc, Plus if you have a kindle you can borrow books and I just discover you can also stream Movies, TV shows etc. If it wasn't because of hubby and his international movies fascination I would go ahead and cancel Netflix and just stick to amazon streaming
This is annoying:
Amazon Mom and Amazon Student members with Amazon Prime shipping benefits and customers receiving a free month of Amazon Prime benefits with Kindle Fire will not be able to share their benefits with additional people. All existing shared household members will continue to receive shipping benefits if the primary member switches to the Amazon Prime shipping benefits offered by one of these programs, however, the primary member will not be able to add or change shared household members if they move to one of these programs.
So I should have joined Prime, added my husband and mom, and then added Amazon Mom. Because I joined Amazon Mom first, I can't give Prime benefits to to other people?
Yes. It just adds the shipping benefit to your account.
