Here's the scene: My best friend is getting married in June (yay!), it is her second wedding and it will be a small wedding (50-60 people) in San Diego. No bridal party, just a best man and matron of honor (me!). All she has said is that I should wear a black dress. I have black dresses, but want something new. I was thinking long might be nice, but haven't seen anything I love yet.

I had an IUD put in last Wednesday and it perforated my uterus and escaped into my abdomen! So on Saturday I had laparoscopic surgery to have it removed. Still recovering... it's been a big rough, but I'm OK!

do you know what her dress looks like? that would help make the decision... since black can look really formal i'd probably go with shorter black since it's more causal of a wedding? but again, without knowing her dress it's harder to pick.
i do love that she told you just wear black- that's what i told my 3 BM's and they loved being able to buy something with their budget, style, etc.
