How would you wrap this? (DH bday gift)

He seriously needs nothing, and what he claims he "needs" he ain't gettin! :)  But - he has been wanting a tattoo for his brother that passed in 2006 for a really long time now.  We kept putting it off saying he doesn't need it, we have other things to buy, etc etc.  I figured that's what I'd give him for his birthday this year.  I don't want to get a certificate to a specific place because I don't know where he awnts to go (I would personally go to Screamin' Ink, but i'm scared he will not want to go there).

so how would you "give" this to him?  Cash, in a box? wrapped up? with a note?  I feel liek that's Lame-o though.

  • How about a nice framed photo of him and his brother, with a Post-It note saying that you will pay for his tattoo?

  • I love the framed photo idea, but what about a nice card or poem explaining the gift instead of a post-it?  (Although maybe the post-it would be more manly.)  This poem just popped in my head (I'm home sick and bored), but I'm sure you could come up with something better if you like the idea...

    Although he is in heaven,

    he's never far from you,

and now he'll be even closer...[turn the card over]

...when you get your new tattoo!!
