SAVE THE BOARD!!!

We only have 20 performances left until the end of my first season at work! Of course 19 of those performances are within 26 days...I basically told my H I'd see him in April.

I've become really paranoid that I'm going to gain weight while training for my half, which seems like a common thing. I'm hoping to keep my eating in check so this doesn't happen...but I'm SO FRIGGIN HUNGRY!

I've been having really realistic dreams about an ex from 10 years ago, and it's really unnerving. I know "you never forget your first love", but I really wish I would! It was such a terrible relationship. Semi-related, my BFF and I are going to a concert on 3/15 and I'm afraid we're going to see said ex there. I haven't seen him since we broke up (again, nearly a decade ago) and it's making me nervous, almost to the point of not wanting to go. I still haven't even bought the damn tickets! Ok, I guess these two things are way more than semi-related, eh? Ugh.

Re: Randoms

  • I think that no salt added cottage cheese is so much better than regular (with the salt). It's not as creamy, and although it's a little more bland, it's sooo good with fruit mixed in. This is a pre-preg. thing too, although I'm loving it this week.

I still feel really weird working at my old high school. Sometimes, I say hello to teachers, and I wonder if they remember who I am. Especially since my last name is different now, although some teachers don't even realize that my name is different (the ones who do remember me).

I'm kind of ticked at DH because we were supposed to take my old car from my parents. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we're not taking it, but they've been back and forth with him about if he wants it (for free) or not. Someone even left a random note for my parents about wanting to buy it from them. Of course, they asked DH about it, he said he wanted it, and I'm pretty sure they threw out the guy's number. Now DH says he would rather my parents sell it, so they can have the money. Ugh.

I know exactly how you feel about the gaining weight. I gained weight when I trained for my tri, but it was worth it because it helped me fuel myself to train correctly. It was also the best I've looked since high school, which I didn't realize until I looked at the pictures of me running out of the water from swim to bike, or another one of me from behind with my hands on my hips.

Just focus on fueling your body the right way, and you'll be fine.

I gained 5 lbs while training for my half, but I'm pretty sure it was all muscle, and I needed it. I lost fat but still gained weight, so I'd focus more on body composition than pure mass. Just don't excessively carboload or go crazy with eating. If you're hungry, drink a glass of water, wait 10 minutes, and then eat something healthy.

  • I finished all formatting, editing, and changes to my thesis and am ready to print it and give it to my reading committee next week!

I am extremely worried about finding a job now that I am about to graduate. I have been sending resumes and portfolios already, and everyone keeps saying that they won't know until closer to summer. I want to move back north so bad but I'd like to have a job before we move. I'd hate for DH to transfer his job and us relocate and then me not be able to find a job...

I want a weimaraner! I know that my doggies would not appreciate a third, but there is an adorable little girl for sale at the pet store by my grocery store (I have a thing against pet stores, but the puppies are so freaking cute!) and I have to go in and play with her all the time.
