I thought about not doing it. I really did. I know it makes me the catty girl, but it's her job. It's posted on a public website.
Holy cow. I hope there are "t-storms" everyday. (Is it really that difficult to spell out thunder?)
well, since she wants all this publicity for herself...
btw wasn't she called something else before? it wasn't always veggie dream girl right?
to be clear, I don't think it's catty at all, I just didn't want to be perceived that way.
Now, being catty would be to say something about her nose or something like that.
She was just Leslie Sarna.
She was Lesli Sarna, the Dainty Vegetarian.
For some reason I'm not feeling too down about this whole deal. I mean, we all know, she knows, and her employers know that she is serving as a face rather than a weather girl. And her background and passion has always been theater/acting/stage whatever. So, to me, it seems like she's really doing what she loves and I have no problem with that, nor will I make fun of that.
The whole citing thing annoyed me and it was definitely not cool but I think she's come a long way since her beginnings and definitely is moving in the direction she always said she wanted to pursue.

See, and I don't think she's come a long way. I think she is still trying to be something she isn't. The weather girl thing--whatever. Like you said, nobody is trying to say she's a meteorologist. I just thought it was funny.
I am irked that she is marketing herself as a food personality with a great deal of knowledge about food. I don't think she does. For instance, she'll say she's vegan, then turns around and eats cheese and cooks with butter all the time. Sometimes she says she's vegetarian. Cool. Do your thing. Just decide what it is before you try to make yourself seem like an authority on it.
Yeah, I can see the annoyance. She definitely seems to just go with what she perceives the market as wanting. I mean, she's not passionate about science, else she'd still be making super dorky middle school videos, right? Food could easily be a passing fling as well. But I still think she's done a fair job making a career out of that kind of stuff - many people flop and are stuck waiting tables.
