Holy crap water weight sucks!

I'm UP three pounds since the beginning of the week. Sad

I am drinking my water and staying away from salty stuff but what else can I do besides taking water pills? I was so close to 50lbs and every day of PMS it gets further and further away.. And it's KILLING my motivation...

  • u really can't do much. Just keep drinking the water...it's not real weight gain. Will come off in a couple days. hang in there!

  • I feel for you.  Try hard not to step on the scale every morning.  I am guilty of the same thing.  I notice that some weeks I stay the same or gain and then all of a sudden I will have a 1-2 pound loss.  I think it is just my body's way.  This is by far the hardest time I've ever had losing weight but I'm dead set on sticking to it.  You have come so far, don't give up!

  • Remember if you are doing all of the right things, if the scale owes you...it pays you.  Sometimes not immediately but it always pays out if you've been sticking to your program.

  • dude, tell me about it. i can easily go up 3-5lbs the days before my period. it drives me insane and i worry all day about what i put in my mouth.

    be rational- unless youve gorged yourself on donuts and french fries, you know its not real weight and it will go away as soon as your period goes away!

    keep up the good work- youve come so far and accomplished so much!

    You have to STOP! You will just frustrate yourself and that can end in self sabotage and self defeating actions and thoughts. Try to weigh in 2-3 time a week, but really ideally once- ANd especially when you have PMS or AF, it is not worth the emotional abuse it puts you through.

  • You should not be getting on the scale every day. I know, it's tempting, but it's pointless for EXACTLY this reason. It's water weight. You know it'll go away. Stop weighing yourself for a few days, sty with "the program," and be strong!

    I know, I know.... I normally don't but I am soooooo close and I'm dying to see that number!!! :P
