can i be an aw for a moment-im so proud of my mom
she moved here last june after a really crappy year. i made a rule since we helped with the move. that she HAD to get out of her apartment at least twice a week. i told her i didn't care if she got a job, volunteered or joined a book club. besides my aunt and i my mom doesn't really know anyone here. well she started going to a seniors group and now she's really involved. she goes to craft classes, book club, trivia games and to their documentaries. her car broke down. she called me in a panic. i said ok where are you? she told me where she was. i said ok. call triple a have it towed to the garage ken uses and the bus stop that goes RIGHT past your house is across the street. she took the bus home.
she lives in walking distance to a few shops. the other day since it was nice. she WALKED to the shops
today she's dropping her car off to get serviced and then taking the bus back to my house to try and help with stuff for belle's party on saturday.
my mom has really come a lot farther than i thought she would. she has a hard time making friends but she's done great and is keeping busy. honestly NOT where i imagined her at this point. i am really proud of her
