Boston barked in his sleep.

Last night Boston started barking like a maniac....but he was sound asleep.  I turned my light on to check and he was definitely sleeping!  He was doing the sleep running thing where his paws twitch back and forth.

Scared me half to death but I'm glad it was a just a dream and not an intruder!!!

Re: Boston barked in his sleep.

  • Lol, I used to have a Shetland who did this, it was so funny. She never could really bark though, so it was like biting the air with a little whisper bark.
  • Bella does this all the time, but doesn't open her mouth so it's pretty muffled.  Sometimes she gets really loud though - freaky!
  • Lol. About a dozen time Kobe has howled like a werewolf. Sometimes it wakes him up, other times my screaming wakes him. He did it Monday night, and for the first time, it woke my mom up. She had NO idea what was happening. His head was straight up, and long howl JUST like a werewolf. I hope to one day not be asleep when he does it so I can record it.

  • Haha Cooper does this all the time! & most of the time, it totally freaks me out! B/c it'll be out of the blue/in the middle of the night or something & it'll scare the sh!t outta me!

Last night he was sleeping next to me on the couch & was like, high pitched barking/howling in his sleep w/his mouth closed. I cannot even describe the sound! I wish I had been able to record it, but I was too afraid to move b/c I didn't want to wake him!! Crazy dogs!

  • I have a pug that does this, but it is more of a snorting thing instead of a bark, but he also twitches his legs too... I think it is so damn adorable!

but deff could be scary the first time hearing it, in the dark...
