please and thank you.
so mexico. in an attempt to not over pack, here is some info for you. highs are in the mid-high 80s, lows are in themid-high 70s. it's been clear most days lately according to the forecast, some say partly cloudy. it says there is no rainfall in march.. the people i'm going with don't plan to go to nice dinners, maybe 1, but nice could wear a cotton dress. we do plan to visit the town and go to the markets. the general consensus is that we're going to eat, drink, and lounge. this place has a washer and dryer. going from a saturday to saturday.
what would you bring? or what do you think i should bring?
oh, and we're all carrying on on the way there.

good idea. i have a pair of nude sandals so that makes sense.
i was hoping you would give me a list like: 2 pairs of blah, 2 bras, 7pairs of underwear! lol.
oh, also, sarack purchased a new bathing suit.. in size xl. like in the normal section. i can't believe it! i really didn't think i'd ever be able to purchase stuff in the juniors section. and it's super cute, imo!
So jealous of your trip!
Things to pack:
bathing suit
I really have no idea.....haha, something fun/cute if you go on the town, Something comfy to go to and from the pool/beach in....flip flops....a sweater so you can walk on the beach at night and not get chilled....tylenol....
I would bring a light weight pair of sneakers if you are planning on doing anything that might be too much for sandals.
For clothes, I think I would pack at least 3 pairs of bottoms (shorts, skirts), 5 pairs of tops, and 1 dress. Undies: if you are planning on washing a load, then 3-4 pairs of undies and 2-3 bras.

when we go anywhere tropical, I am the queen of cotton or jersey dresses. I think they pack really easy (i.e. no wrinkles), they can look extremely casual (think beach coverup) or you can dress them up, plus you don't need to figure out matching tops and bottoms.
I am an over underwear packer so I typically bring 10-11 pairs of undies for a week long trip (i like clean undies!), 2-3 bras, 2-3 swimsuits, sandals, 4-6 dresses and maybe a pair of shorts or two and a few tops
If you're planning on doing laundry - you can probably cut that list in half I always end up packing a lot of super cute outfits, and then end up in my bathing suit and easy cotton dress 95% of the time.
ditto this, I always pack 1 pair of underwear/day +2 extra (and I guess add on any lingerie ). I wouldn't do laundry on vacation, it's only a week and who wants to do chores!

Emy nailed it. I'll just ditto the rec for cotton/jersey dresses, I lived in them for our honeymoon in Maui. They can be thrown over a swimsuit or dressed up for going to dinner. I took a couple of long dresses and 3-4 short dresses. I also brought a jersey skirt that coordinated with all of the shirts I brought.
I always bring some kind of sweater or light jacket too, even if your destination is warm and sunny, the plane can be chilly.
