Top Chef finale (spoilers)
Just finished watching it...thoughts?
Re: Top Chef finale (spoilers)
I hated the way they edited it. They made it sound like Sara was going to walk away with it (much to my dismay). But then went back to the obvious when they announced Paul's name. I did tear up when his dad was crying.
I liked how they chose the sous chef. Too funny that no one chose the master chef!
Overall a crappy season (though we've all agreed on that). I'm just really glad that Paul won. He was really the only one worth pulling for, and he pretty much dominated all season, therefore IMO definitely deserved the win. I would have been disappointed if Sarah had one. Kind of like Hosea winning over Stefan in Season 5 (though maybe not that bad because I thought Hosea pretty much sucked all season, and Sarah was pretty consistently in the top at least. In any case, I definitely think Paul deserved the win).
I was cracking up at how much they were making fun of that Tyler Stone guy though. What a douchebag.
Has anyone heard anything about next season? I'm really hoping for a Top Chef Atlanta at some point!!
Oh, I was totally teary eyed too!
I'm also happy that Paul won - and agree that the whole Tyler thing was hysterical.
Haven't heard anything about next season.

Ditto your whole point, especially the Atlanta part!
I was happy Paul won and the finale was impressive because they let them cook what they wanted and there were no crazy twists. I really liked the way they chose sous chefs.
I hope next season goes overseas. If it goes to Atlanta it will be because ATL pays TC a ton of money. I think San Antonio paid a million bucks to be feautured on the show. Houston refused to pay and that is why the largest city in Texas (and the one with the best food scene) was not on the show.
So Tasty, So Yummy
I'm late to the party, but we didn't watch the finale until last night so now I need to debrief!
Oh my gosh, I was so relieved that Paul won. While Sara had some good food throughout the season, I don't think her level of b!tchiness was appropriate. Same goes for that one lady who was one of her sous chefs. Both of them were border line bullying Bev during a couple episodes. Yeah, she was definitely quirky, but she didn't deserve being treated the way those women treated her.
I appreciated how even-keeled and calm Paul was in the kitchen, for the most part. I would totally eat at his restaurant some day.

I agree with all of this - and Heather is the other one you're referring to - ewww. Looks like karma (and of course, good skill) won yet again.
