Ground turkey for chili question

I've been using ground turkey in my chili lately instead of ground beef.  I usually just throw it in the crockpot in the am, but now with DD I just don't ever have enough time to brown the meat before heading off to work.  Would i be able to brown the meat tonight, cool, store in tupperware in the fridge & then put it all in the crockpot tomorrow am?

-I guess the fact that I'm using turkey vs beef really doesn't make a difference with the question I'm asking!

  • I've done that before and it's turned out just fine.

  • Sounds fine to me!

  • I've used leftover browned meat (usually turkey as well!) to make sloppy joes and chili on the stovetop...I don't see why throwing meat you browned the night before into the crock pot would be much different.
