PSA -- kindle library borrowers
I have been borrowing ebooks from the library for a while, but I just ran into the case where I wasn't finished and the lend was going to expire.. and I was only about halfway through an almost 600pg book, and someone else was on the waiting list so I couldn't renew.
BUT... I have since learned that if your kindle has the book OPENED, and you aren't connected to wifi... the kindle doesn't know the book has expired. 
This goes for the cloud reader also.. but NOT the android app.

Also PSA, consider paying $35 for a library card for Philadelphia Free library for access to more e-media.
