potty training help....I give up
Danny has been close to impossible to train. All 3 of us(my MIL, babysitter, and I) are baffled. There is no reason why he shouldn't been trained. He's finally trained for pee and has been for awhile. We were sticking with pull ups since he won't poo on the toilet at all but he gets lazy with the pull up and pees in it. So we have been in underwear full time and he does great with pee. He goes to the bathroom all by himself without being told. He is even night trained...yes, he stay dry all night long.
However, he just wont poop on the toilet. Everyday, I am washing out or throwing away underwear. He doesn't go at the same time every day. Once he caught on that we were making him sit at the time he used to go, he started switching it up and holds it until he has a minute alone and then goes in his underwear. And I can't literally be on him every second of every day to catch that minute. He waits until I am busy with something and then goes.
I don't know what else to do. He doesn't care if we take away favorite toys because he pooped. We've offered him so many rewards, trying to figure out what will be the one that works. We've taken away his fun character underwear and given him boring white ones. Nothing. He doesn't care. He doesn't care at all. He will happily sit in his sh$t filled undies all day if we let him.
This is nuts. He's going to be 4 in a couple weeks. I don't know what else try.
