What's in your trail mix?

Not like "nuts" or "dried fruit" but specifically, what would you put in the perfect trail mix?

Re: What's in your trail mix?

  • Mine is different every batch, depending on what I've got on hand.

Right now, it's cocoa almonds, cinnamon roast almonds, peanuts, raisins, banana chips, Cheerios (not sure what kind, we have four varieties in the house at the moment!), and white chocolate M&Ms.  I've also been known to throw craisins in there, or chopped up candies like chocolate covered graham crackers, cookie pieces, etc.

  • I like mine to have almonds, some kind of chocolate, raisins, pb or cinnamon chips, and one other thing that isn't a candy or nut.  The graham cracker idea is a good one.
  • I like mine with chocolate chips, pretzels, craisins, almonds, and those yogurt covered raisins.

OMG, cocoa and cinnamon almonds sound amazing for trail mix!  I like mine on the sweeter side with peanuts, almonds, craisins, chocolate chips, dried pineapple, pretzels or bagel chips and maybe dried coconut.  Adding the sweet-flavored almonds would be awesome.
