Would this be effective? Or set me back?
Lately I'm having a hard time getting my full work out in given my work schedule and stuff with the kids. This past week I broke up my runs to 2 miles in the AM and 2 miles in the PM and strength training or Yoga in the middle of the day 3 days a week. It seemed to work pretty well, I was able to fit everything in and felt a little less stressed about trying to cram it all in. Also it upped my usual mileage for the week because I had been doing 3 miles, 3 days a week and 5 miles on a 4th day. I think I like doing it this way but I am worried that it's not doing much to improve my running. Maybe if I still did the 5 mile run all together on Saturdays that would help that? Or am I hurting myself by breaking everything up?
