It seems like a day to vent

Today is just not my day. I feel like I have ran for days the back of my legs hurt so bad I can barely walk. I decided I would work through it only to learn that I must have pinched a nerve in my back because when I bend over I feel like something around my spine is pinched and losing feeling. After that I was convinced to take it slow and have a cup of coffee and of course I can't because there is no dang creamer! I hope you guys are having a better day. Share how your day is going if you like

  • This has been the crappiest week at work. And to top it off, we started the infertility work-up to see why were having T-TTC also. I went early today for bloodwork and feel like the biggest baby b/c I convinced M to come with me because I don't do well with giving blood and I knew they'd be drawing a good amount. It went well and I didn't get shaky after. Its all in my head, I know.

If I can just make it through this afternoon, I get to enjoy my weekend with my birthday massage M bought me. : )

  • Well I hope you guys have a baby soon :). I am terrified of needles. My dad took me to the hospital and had scratches and bleeding when he left. I have managed to stop that though. I am glad you were fine :). Your weekend sounds fun :)
  • I'm horrible with needles as well. I literally have to lie down and put something over my eyes while they stick me or i will faint. yep. huge baby right here!

  • I didn't get over my fear of needles until I went to BCT.  They clear that right up for you, lol.
    Shot first, questions later.
  • I didn't realize so many people we afraid of needles lol. Glad to know I am not alone :)
  • I never had a fear of needles until a few years ago when we were doing SRC and getting our anual blood draws and shots.  The chick was drawing blood and missed the vein.  She fished around and couldn't get it.  At this point, I started to get woozie.  I was trying not to pass out when she pulled the needle out and then jabbed it back in my arm.  I knew one of my medics was behind me and I yelled "MEDIC" right as I was passing out.  He caught me and had to run with me to the bathroom before I yacked.  That chick was put on paperwork duty after that and only our medics were drawing blood for the rest of the day.  I haven't been the same with needles since.

  • i am so tired of people at work being difficult to work with.  Yes we are all overworked and tired right now untill they hire more staff.  But come on that is no need to be mean to each other.  My legs hurt a lot and I can't wait to go to the orthopedic on Thursday to figure out what they want to do.

The good news of my day.  My brother is moving out! After 5 and a half months and me going nuts.  Thank God.

ETA: Gumby- we just got done with a bunch tests good luck! We are going to a fertility clinic on the 15th of this month.

  • Ugh that story about missing the vein and passing out made me gag. Needles don't bother me, it's the veins...typing that word makes me woozy. I pass out every time I get blood drawn because I think about what's happening...needle in the v**n, blaaah I need to stop I am seriously gagging.

I am so happy February is over, what a terrible month it was. Work was crummy, my grandfather passed away, I worked every.single.weekend., I was sick for most of it. March has started off ok, I hope it stays that way. This has been such a long week, so ready for 5PM.

That's what my problem is/was too.  And I'm sorry about your grandfather.  :(

Thanks. Were just starting the process. Were doing the full workup on the base clinic, and then will be referred off base to a OB-GYN. I glad were finally starting the process, but its kind of nerve-wracking at the same time. We will see how it goes!

Where do you live?  We did almost 4 years of treatment at a specialist in Tallahassee, FL when we were stationed at Moody and they were really great with us.  I actually wound up going on a strict vegan diet to treat PCOS and got pregnant after we decided to 'give up'.  It can definately be a rollercoaster ride with T-TTC.

    Good luck lady!

We're in Montana. Where things are few and far between : ) I work in a doctors office in town so I'm familiar with the hospital system, which can be good and bad because I know the pros & cons to the system here. I'm just ready to get situated with a good doctor in town who can help us with our options. I'm doing my best to stay positive until we know what the results are from all the testing were doing now!
