Specifically, where can I find the best Shrimp and Grits. We are staying on the Mt. Pleasant side and really I'd like to avoid the crowds of going into downtown Charleston if possible.
Any hidden local places that are amazing?
Re: Mt. Pleasant, SC Food
I live it Mt. Pleasant
There;s a lot of road construction right now, but other than that a beautiful town!
Charleston Cafe on 17 has great Shrimp & Grits on their brunch menu
Red's on Shem Creek- great atmosphere and seafood
Gotcha
I see you still live in NC too
Fun!
Thanks! I'm compiling a list. I'm also hoping to hit up the smocked kids clothing store in MP while I'm there. It is going to be a busy and expensive yet fun few days!
From Hey To Horses
Sullivan's Island also has some fun hang-outs: Poe's and Dunleavy's. Not award-winning food but laid-back beach pubs.
RB's is next to Red's on Shem Creek and has good seafood.
