What are you cooking this weekend?

I haven't yet menu-planned for this weekend.  We will be home all day Sunday, most likely, so I am looking for inspiration.  It would be a good day to try something new and time-consuming for dinner.  What are you planning to make this weekend?

Re: What are you cooking this weekend?

  • Tomorrow I will be making Boston Cream Cake and a Ham dinner. Ham, green beans and most likely mac and cheese.

Other than that, not sure..pasta tonight (with sauce I pulled from the freezer), not eating home Sunday...

  • Thanks for the ideas!!  I just noticed that my thread is almost identical to stargirl's below.  Sorry I didn't see that first :)
  • tonight - some sort of chicken pasta a friend bought over.

Saturday - chicken with goat cheese and sun dried tomato sauce that's been floating around

Sunday - another recipe from here and pinterest - no butter chicken.

I'll also be making a big batch of breakfast burritos.

  • Mushroom pizza tonight, chicken tikka masala tomorrow, and kofta on Sunday.

Vanilla cupcakes on Sunday, because I have three types of frosting to use up.

  • Tonight- Barbeque glazed pork tenderloin in the crock pot, finished on the grill & roasted baby potatoes, and corn

Either Sat or Sunday- left over pork tenderloin turned into pulled pork sandwiches

    Tiramisu Whoopie pies

I'll probably bake something else, but I'm not sure what yet :D

  • Not really cooking much of anything, except for maybe some potato salad on Sunday.

I'm considering baking something to use up the million bananas I have in my freezer. Maybe banana muffins or cupcakes?

Ha! I'm so looking forward to trying them.  It's a vanilla/chocolate marbled cake with espresso and mascarpone filling.  Sounds good, right? :D

  • Besides regular meals, I want to try making ricotta. Not sure what else.
  • Tonight (Saturday) I'm doing chicken-pot-pie pasties and rice krispie treats.

Sunday, I am not sure, but I think it will involve homemade bread and a soup.  It's cold and rainy here (unusual as it's just the beginning of autumn) and I am in the mood for warming, comfort foods.

  • I am hosting a small brunch for a few girlfriends in the morning.  I have a french toast casserole (allrecipes . com) in the fridge and will also make a spinach/cheese/mushroom quiche in the morning.

We'll probably get dinner out tomorrow evening and I may fix something simple on Sunday.
