Can we do a tornado area check in?

Just want to see how everyone is doing.

It didn't get as bad in Evansville. We were surrounded by tornadoes, but none actually hit here, thank goodness.

My dad lives in Henryville, IN and that town got hit really bad. He wasn't home at the time, he was out of town, so now I'm waiting for him to call me and let me know if the house is okay. He didn't think it was going to get bad (apparently he doesn't watch the weather, or I'm the only one in my family with the storm anxiety gene) so my childhood dog was at the house. If he doesn't call me in the next ten minutes and tell me the dog is okay, I may have a meltdown.

How is it where you are? I think the storms are still pushing east, so be careful if you're still in the path!

ETA: House, dogs, and family are all fine. Thank goodness.

Re: Can we do a tornado area check in?

  • I'm so glad everyone is okay, ARO.

image. "Wanna go for a run, Momma?"
  • Glad you and everyone are ok!

Are you going to check on the colony when the storm passes tomorrow?

We're all ok here - Michigan - no tornadoes, just high winds. Which sucks when you're driving on wet roads.

Yeah, I'm going down to check on them first thing in the morning. I'm always so paranoid about them, I have to remind myself that they lived through storms before I even knew they existed, they will be okay. :) I think the wind was probably the worst that they got down by the river where they are. Thank goodness they have houses to cuddle up in.

Thanks. I need to move somewhere that is tornado free. I'm too anxious for this crap. :)

They have little kitty houses? THAT IS FREAKING ADORABLE!

Yeah, one of the other caretakers set up a brown wooden house and an igloo house for them. It's so funny because when you go down and call for them to feed them, like 10 cats will shoot out of one house. It's like a kitty version of a clown car. :)

  • I'm about 25 minutes south of Indy and we had our sirens go off around 2:30. Nothing bad though. We did get pea sized hail this morning but other than that just some lightning, thunder and wind. Glad to hear your family is safe down there! So scary!
