McCain: Palin has more experience than Biden and Obama put together
He just said this on GMA. Ugh. This is precisely the type of bullshit that I had hoped we all would avoid with a McCain candidacy, and precisely the type of garbage that makes it so hard for me to stick with him.
I have no words to express how much I miss the Straight Talk Express John.

It was a question about Larry Eagleburger's statement regarding Palin's readiness to assume the VP slot (he said she would be "adequate," and "I can't say that she would be a genius in the job"). Naturally the reporter failed to press McCain for clarification or explanation of his answer.
For the sake of argument, I'll spot him Obama, but saying that Palin has more experience than Biden is akin to saying that a teenager has more experience with alcohol than John Daly.
I guess he was probably talking about executive experience. Stills seems like an exaggeration imo.
This is what I had assumed he was talking about and I could understand this argument if Palin had shown any knowledge about anything beyond Alaska's borders and not related to abortion. But when you have a candidate who has demonstrated repeatedly that she knows so little about almost everything, all the executive experience in the world can't compensate for that vacuum of knowledge.
Regardless of the substance of the argument, what really bothers me is that McCain knows it's not true but says it anyway. This is not the McCain I know and love.

FTR, you are much more generous than I am. I wouldn't give Palin credit for more experience than Obama.
This is why it is so hard to take that ticket seriously. Everything they say is hyperbole. Like the time McCain said she knew more about energy than anyone else in America. Huh? It seems that he nor anyone else on that campaign takes her seriously, so they need to exaggerate to defend her.
What executive experience does McCain have anyway? It's all just so silly.
