Plans for today?

What's everyone up to today?

We're enjoying our weekend french press, and DH is working on making mozzarella.  We're planning to take a picnic lunch to one of the wineries we are a member of to pick up our quarterly shipment and enjoy a bottle.  Cheese, bread (even though DH's attempt at bread yesterday came out flat as a pancake), crackers, some sort of cured meat, etc.  This afternoon we will head home to get dinner started -- roasting a chicken and still have to decide on sides.  If I feel inspired later I will get some cupcakes going as well.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Plans for today?

  • Were headed to Costco in a bit, then meeting a friend for lunch. At some point I would like to do my grocery list and go to the grocery store, but I am really not sure that will get done today.

  • Going for a run, shred it with weights, then clean mbr and bath, prep dinner and not sure what else. Enjoying coffee in bed now.
  • We were gone all day yesterday, so today is just house cleaning and possibly visiting my grandparents.
  • I'm going to rearrange some stuff in my cabinets, clean a little, grade tests, and then drive down to my mom's to celebrate my birthday (tomorrow).  My H just flew OOT to NYC for work.

This is awesome.  Sounds like a great day!

I'm in the middle of making banana cream pie for my niece's birthday.  Frank took Bella to breakfast and they're seeing an early movie (Lorax) so I could get some cleaning done, too.

After that, we're going to my sister's to celebrate my niece's 11th birthday!

  • Should be a pretty lazy day.  A little cooking to do, but nothing major.  DH is playing racquetball later, and I'm trying to decide what I should do while he's gone.  I want to bring cupcakes to work tomorrow to use up a bunch of leftover frosting, so I'll probably do that.  I might work on decorating sugar cookies too.  We'll probably spend most of the afternoon after he gets back sitting outside soaking up the sun.
  • I just woke up and took the dogs out and now we are all back in bed watching Friends.

All I really have planned for today is to go to the farmer's market and grocery store, do laundry, clean up a bit and watch my Netflix DVD of Big Love.

DH won't be back from Orlando until close to midnight but I *may* wait up for him. Maybe.

  • I have to re-clean the house after we have friends over last night.  Then I think I'll bake some muffins, and relax the rest of the day.
  • Go to the grocery store.  I'm starting my meal ideas for the week right now

We have a yard guy coming to assess what we want done with DH later

I wanted to do some outlet mall shopping but I dont think it'll happen this weekend.

  • Study, study, study. I also have a 6 mi run to do but I can't decide if I want to run outside (20s, fresh snow/ice) or inside on the dreadmill. Then, some minor grocery shopping and I'll probably start my slow cooker chicken for my lunches for the week.

  • Did about 20 minutes of cardio dancing with DD #1 this morning, then stretched out a bit.  Now we're working on parts of her school project (she has to build a 3D model of an Ancient or Modern Wonder of the World...chose the Temple of Artemis...the thing has 127 columns and is two times the size of the Parthenon...REALLY????  We'll be cutting wooden dowels for days at this rate!).  This afternoon she has GS cookie booth sales (thank goodness, in front of a Starbucks because I'm gonna need caffeine) and then we'll just hang out at home finishing some homework and I'll try to get DD #2 to practice her reading.
  • Well, last night we figured out our fridge died, things where kind-of still cold, but DH had put beer in the fridge on Friday, and he pulled out a can and it was fairly warm.

Not good - but I found a fridge similar the one we had for $150, so we're going to get that this afternoon, about an hour from our house.

I've never really looked into replacing a fridge before, so I was shocked last night when I started looking for a new one online... I figured I'd be able to find one of $400 ish, not $900 - $1200 +... ugh Not how I wanted to spend my Sunday.

  • I enjoyed some coffee while meal planning and watching Law & Order, then worked out.  I am about to get in the shower and then go to the grocery store.  I have some laundry to do, but the cleaning was done yesterday, so bonus free time!  Later this afternoon we'll do a Hungarian lesson and some work catch up.  Then we're going out for a pre-birthday dinner at Melt - massive grilled cheese sandwiches, yum!

  • Got up early and made some muffins and went to the grocery store. Now DH and I are heading out to look at tvs and run to Home Depot for some things. Later we will have lunch, take the dog for a long walk, do a quick arms workout, some cleaning and then start my roast chicken for dinner...I hope we get all that done!

  • I'm getting ready to make some muffins for breakfast, then take all the food we made yesterday up to some friends' parents house (her dad just started chemo this week).

Then home to do laundry, catch up on blogging, and maybe repaint my toes....

later I'm making stuffed peppers for dinner.

  • For breakfast, I made strawberry pancakes topped with mascarpone and powdered sugar - YUM!  Today is spring cleaning day.  We need to do everything, top to bottom, cleaning and organizing.  I'm going to make pulled beef sandwiches for dinner.

  • DH and I just had breakfast and are watching Pelham 123 on TV right now...I've actually never seen it and it's more entertaining than I expected it to be. So it's slowing me down in my plan to go to Kohls & the mall to start my swimsuit search...

After I get done shopping, I'll probably head home, make lunch, do some laundry, and then I'm heading to Yoga this afternoon. Chili for dinner later!

  • I made baked donuts this morning and then the dog and I went to replenish her bone stash at PetsMart. I'm making salsa verde and shredding chicken for enchiladas tonight. We are going to watch the Illini/Wisconsin game in about an hour...I'll probably walk on the treadmill during...just because I feel guilty for bumming around with DH all of yesterday and not getting in my planned run. My hockey game is at 5pm, then dinner, and grading. Weekends go so fast!
  • Prep my weeks lessons for work, make some chicken and dumplings soup in advance for tommorrow since its a late day for both dh and I and maybe just relax a little bit.
