Favorite party menu?

Looking for something different than the regular pasta. We will be hosting our son's second birthday at the house for approx 15-20 people. Thanks in advance!

  • Chick Fil-A caters or Subway for birthday party

For my DD's 3rd birthday end of this month, I'm doing a Dora theme so I'm going to have a Build Your Own Taco Bar.  I'll also have fruit, chips, pretzels, cheese for the kids. Plus, cake!

  • We did a spanish themed party once.  We bought a huge disposable foil pan, made a spice rub, bone in skin on chicken thighs, baby potatoes, shallots quartered, rosemary, thyme, a little sherry (it cooks off), quartered lemons.  Baked it all together and it was a 1 pan dish full of chicken and potatoes.  Appetizers we bought some spanish ham and cheese and set out crackers, sweet little peppers form Costco that we stuffed with goat cheese and then grilled. We also grilled some sausage.  Sagria is a must serve :)
  • For my son?s first birthday we did BBQ chicken and pulled pork with cole slaw, baked beans, potato chips, and salad. It was really simple to put together and everyone loved it.
  • I was going to say taco bar too.  Crockpots of chicken, beef, beans.  Hard and soft shells, and chips and all the toppings.

  • I've hosted taco bar parties. They are great because you can do all the prep before. I also love hosting pizza parties. I borrow pizza stones from all my friends to help me make more pizzas at a time.
