F/U to racing with a cold.
I PR'd! 2:08:04. 3 minutes and 20 seconds faster than my HM PR from January.
I took it really easy and rested quite a bit the days before the race. But I still felt really rough Friday night. I'm so glad we got a room even though the race was only an hour away. I was able to get plenty of sleep and woke up feeling much better with just a slight headache, Hallelujah, I could breathe!
The race was great. Weather was perfect and I felt good the entore time. I went out with no expectations after feeling so rough the few days before. Once the first couple of miles were sub 10:00 I knew I could possibly PR.
